Green wealth of Serbia - magical mountain Zlatibor

Zlatibor is a mountainous region situated in the western part of Serbia, my homecountry. This magical and beautiful mountain is an important tourist area of Serbia, wiht resources for health tourism, skiing and hiking. The main city of the region is Uzice, located at the foothills of the mountain. Small and charming town of Zlatibor emerged from a group of vacation homes into a full-fledged urban location.
Situated at an elevation of just over 1,000 metres Zlatibor is a climatic resort, characterized by a cool alpine climate, clean air, long periods of sunshine during the summer and a heavy snow cover in winter. Tourist facilities include modern hotels, holiday centers and cottages, sport grounds and skiing tracks. And my favorite forest and waterfalls you my read about Here. Tourist area on Zlatibor officially began on 20 august 1983, when the King of Serbia Aleksandar Obrenovic decided to establish a health resort. To his honor a fountain was erected on the place where he had lunch and later it was accompanied by a small lake titled "Kings Water ". There are many attraction for all ages and tastes including sports activities, adventure parks, small farms with domestic animals, relaxation and spa, paths trough forest and araund the lake for those who like to enjoy the walks and ofcourse restaurants with a delicious Serbian cousine.
I spent seven days enjoying different things and wondering trouhg the nature.
Every morning I started with a cup of local tea of extraordinary taste on my blacony with a view and after that morning ritual I usually went to a local hunt for tradional breakfast. The rest of the day was dedicated to excursions and historical places.

The Šargan Eight is a narrow-gauge heritage railway in Serbia, running from the village of Mokra Gora to Šargan Vitasi station. The train called "Nostalgia" still runs so I spent 2 hours enjoying the ride and escaping in the history. Nature is beautiful and the train is so charming and I liked this trip.
